Stimuno is an herbal product derived from the standardized extract of Phyllanthus niruri, commonly known as meniran. This product has undergone both preclinical and clinical studies. Stimuno is an immunomodulator that helps the body produce more antibodies and optimize the immune system. It enhances both specific and nonspecific immune responses, as well as cellular and humoral immunity.
Stimuno is suitable for children and adults, providing customized dosage forms to meet the needs of each age group. Stimuno is formulated with a carefully measured 25 mg dose of Phyllanthus niruri herba extract for children and 50 mg for adults, ensuring that each age group receives the appropriate strength. Stimuno is available in capsule and liquid dosage form.
A Brief Introduction to Our Product
Phyllanthus niruri herba extract enhances innate and adaptive immune responses, including cellular and humoral immunity. It effectively combats intracellular and external infections by accelerating phagocytosis in neutrophils, macrophages, monocytes, and other immunocompetent cells. The increased neutrophil phagocytosis indicates a faster eradication process of invading microbes, viruses, or fungi, particularly extracellular foreign pathogens, and their subsequent clearance out from the body. Additionally, by increasing the phagocytic profile of monocytes and macrophages, the extract could accelerate the lysis of cells infected by intracellular microbes, exposing these pathogens to other immune system cells in the extracellular compartments.
Phyllanthus niruri can also influence the cellular immune system by accelerating T-lymphocyte proliferation. It accelerates T-lymphocyte proliferation and activates cytotoxic activity in natural killer cells and T-cytotoxic (CD-8) lymphocytes. In addition, it also enhances humoral immunity, particularly in the production of immunoglobulin M (IgM) and immunoglobulin G (IgG)
Product Functions
A clinical study on pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) indicated that the immunomodulatory activity of P. niruri could potentially reduce the risk of TB transmission from patients with positive sputum. Additionally, it may act synergistically with standard TB regimens to optimize therapy. As an immunomodulator, P. niruri extract reduces common cold symptoms and helps the body eliminate the virus.
The effect of P. niruri as anti-hepatitis was demonstrated by Thyagarajan et al., who found that 59% of patients tested negative for HBsAg two weeks after treatment. Furthermore, none of the patients experienced symptoms of HBsAg reappearance after a 9-month follow-up. A preliminary clinical study involving patients with vaginal candidiasis showed that supplementation with P. niruri significantly improved the immune system, achieving a recovery rate of 73.33% after seven days of treatment, compared to only 26.67% in the placebo group. In cases of varicella-zoster infection, research suggested that P. niruri might help shorten the overall duration of the disease, particularly in the progression of skin lesions.
Overall, clinical trials of Stimuno have demonstrated its effectiveness as an immunomodulator by enhancing and activating the cellular immune system. In studies published over the last two decades, P. niruri has shown no toxicity or major adverse effects. Stimuno has been generally safe in all trials involving both humans and animals, whether for short-term or long-term use.
