Posafit is an herbal remedy containing Striatin, a bioactive protein fraction isolated from Snakehead fish (Channa striata). Due to its high protein content, Posafit is effective for promoting health and accelerating wound healing in post-surgery and post-partum conditions. Posafit is also rich in amino acids, fatty acids, and other nutrients that support recovery after surgery procedures. Research conducted both in vitro and in vivo has shown that Posafit can enhance albumin levels and improve wound healing rate.
Posafit contains a precisely formulated dose of 250 mg of Striatin in film-coated tablet form.
A Brief Introduction to Our Product
Striatin is high in protein, amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals, all of which are crucial for promoting wound healing after surgical procedures. It contains four primary proteins with approximate molecular weights of 8.3, 10.9, 15.4, and 16.7 kDa that contribute significantly to its pharmacological effects. These proteins are identified as nucleoside diphosphate kinase and parvalbumin. Striatin has been demonstrated to promote cell proliferation, increase albumin expression and secretion, and inhibit NF-κB expression, a key signaling molecule of the inflammatory response. This mechanism has been observed through an in vivo study using animal models, which showed enhanced albumin synthesis and improved wound healing rates.
Product Functions
Channa striata has been used in Southeast Asia for its healing properties due to its rich biochemical constituents, including amino acids and fatty acids. The active compounds found in Channa striata are also present in Striatin, the active ingredient in Posafit.
Striatin, a bioactive protein fraction derived from Snakehead fish (Channa striata), contains four major bioactive proteins with approximate molecular weights of 8.3, 10.9, 15.4, and 16.7 kDa. The proteins with lower molecular weights, specifically 8.3 and 10.9 kDa, are identified as parvalbumin, while the higher molecular weight proteins are identified as nucleoside diphosphate kinase (Ndk). Additionally, Striatin includes both essential and non-essential amino acids, fatty acids, vitamins, and minerals. These bioactive elements are recognized for their significant roles in the wound healing process, which encompasses anti-inflammatory properties, cell proliferation, tissue repair, and collagen synthesis.
We have conducted extensive research on Striatin, including in vitro and in vivo studies. Striatin within a concentration range of 5 - 40 μg, did not reduce the number of HepG2 cells, suggesting its safety at the evaluated concentrations. Moreover, treatment with Striatin demonstrated enhanced albumin gene expression and secretion in LPS-induced HepG2 cells. Striatin was also observed to inhibit the expression of NF-κB, a molecule associated with the inflammatory response. Consequently, the increase in albumin expression and secretion attributed to Striatin appears to be mediated through its interference with NF-κB expression. In another study, we discovered that Striatin promoted cell proliferation, an essential aspect of the wound healing process. These pharmacological characteristics of Striatin were further confirmed in an in vivo experiment, which revealed that wounds treated with Striatin healed more rapidly than those that were untreated, as indicated by a significantly reduced wound area over the similar period of time (p < 0.05). Furthermore, albumin levels in the group treated with Striatin were significantly higher compared to the untreated group (p < 0.05). These findings highlight the ability of Striatin not only to maintain health due to its rich nutritional profile but also to enhance the wound healing process.
Regarding the safety of Striatin, an acute oral toxicity study has been performed in vivo. The results exhibited the LD50 value greater than 5000 mg/kg BW, indicating Striatin as a practically non-toxic substance
