Avominol is a bioactive fraction derived from Zingiber officinale Var. Amarum, also known as “Jahe Emprit” or Wild Ginger. Avominol is obtained through the extraction using ethanol 70% as the solvent. Jahe Emprit has traditionally been used for medicinal purposes, including alleviating bloating and nausea. German and European monographs on ginger list nausea and vomiting as recognized indications for its use. Additionally, the U.S. Pharmacopeia has approved ginger and powdered ginger monographs for inclusion in the National Formulary.

3. Possessing safety data evidence
An acute toxicity study of Avominol showed that administering Avominol at 2000 and 5000 mg/kg BW doses did not lead to mortality or any specific toxic effects on the rats' organs. Thus, a single administration of Avominol as much as 56,000 mg (56 g) is considered safe, as it did not cause any changes in the pathology of vital organs.
The safety evaluation of Avominol in pregnant women suggests the need for caution when considering its use in this population. Studies on pregnant rats showed that administering Avominol was associated with increased fetal resorption and fetal death. Additionally, some undeveloped fetuses exhibited abnormal placental development, size variations, and skeletal abnormalities.
Key Feature of the Product
Zingiber officinale, or ginger, has a long history as a remedy for digestive issues, effectively addressing problems like mild indigestion, flatulence, nausea, vomiting, and travel sickness. In traditional Chinese medicine, it is classified as a warming remedy that is effective for abdominal distension and vomiting. Ginger is known to relax digestive muscles, aiding in the breakdown and removal of gas from the digestive tract, and is recognized for its ability to relieve nausea. Ginger consumption is generally safe and has no adverse effects when taken at the recommended dosage.
Several preclinical studies have demonstrated ginger's thermogenic properties, partly linked to vasoconstriction, partially caused by 6-gingerol. Additionally, these studies have shown that ginger can induce vomiting in animal models.
